Discord Image Sizes: Server Icon, Banner and Invite Background

The core sizes: a square 512×512 server icon, a 960×540 server banner and a 1920×1080 invite background. The banner, the invite background and the animated versions need a certain Boost level; a profile banner and an animated profile picture need full Nitro, not Nitro Basic.

Animated Discord banners: what you need

  • Animated server banner: your server needs Boost Level 3, and it is uploaded as a GIF.
  • Animated profile banner: your account needs full Nitro; Nitro Basic does not include it.
  • Animated server icon: Boost Level 1 is enough.

If your server has not reached the level yet, order the static version for now: it works from Level 2 for the banner, and on every server for the icon.

Images inside channels

Welcome, rules and divider images have no required size, but make them wide (1,000 px or more) so they look sharp on desktop, and check them on a phone before posting.

Tips

  • The icon is shown small and round, so keep the logo centred with no fine detail at the edges. To pick a logo type that holds up at small sizes, read streamer logo types.
  • Discord changes its sizes and requirements from time to time, so check the Discord Help Center before designing.
